SCOPE OF WORK FOR SCAFFOLDER

BASIC SCAFFOLDING

The scope of work for this level is scaffolding work associated with:

a) Free standing prefabricated scaffolds;
b) Cantilevered hoist with a working load limit not exceeding 500 kilograms (materials only);
c) Ropes;
d) Gin wheels;
e) Safety nets and static lines; and
f) Bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork)

But excludes work involving:

a) cantilevered crane loading platforms;
b) Cantilevered and spurred scaffolds;
c) Barrow ramps and sloping platforms;
d) Scaffolds associated with perimeter safety screens and shutters;
e) mast climbers;
f) Tube and coupler scaffolds (including tube and coupler covered ways and gantries);
g) Hung scaffolds, including scaffolds hanging from tubes, wire ropes and chains; and
h) Suspended scaffolds.


A. INTERMEDIATE SCAFFOLDING

The scope of work for this level of scaffolding work associated with:

a) Prefabricated scaffolds;
b) Tube and coupler scaffolds including tube and coupler covered ways and gantries;
c) Cantilevered hoists with a maximum working load of 500 kilograms (materials only);
d) Ropes;
e) Gin wheels;
f) Safety nets and static lines
g) Bracket scaffolds (tank and framework);
h) Cantilevered crane loading platforms;
i) Cantilevered and spurred scaffolds;
